Warms the heart

It's a big world we live in. I enjoy exploring it.

| London - where the streets have funny names

Cheapside is the former site of one of the principle medieval produce markets in London, with ‘cheap’ meaning market.

The streets are named after the product that was originally sold in the market, such as Honey Lane, Milk street, Bread Street, and Poultry.

As for Bird In Hand Yard - that’s a street in Hampstead and I have no idea where the name comes from yet, but it sounds interesting!
